6 STARS, NOT 5!!!! FAST, PRECISE AND SERVICE-MINDED. This is one of these times when you wish you give an extra star because everything was simply off the charts. This freelancer took code that had taken weeks to put together and he basically rewrote the app from scratch in one night with much cleaner code. His multi-threading implementation improved performance more than 10-fold before any optimization. He is highly competent and knowledgeable about Java and Scala and he immediately identified the right questions to ask about requirements. His communication is also flawless. Bonus is on its way and we already discussed the next project. Don't look at anyone else if you have Scala needs - you won't regret it.
