With 7 years of tutoring middle school, high school, and college students for the ACT, SAT, ASVAB, Toefl, and MTTC, I have extensive and successful experience with providing the test prep results students seek. I began tutoring when I was a student in Alabama, tutoring many students in math, physics, and chemistry. One of my physics students currently attends Penn State University on a full scholarship. I received my Bachelor’s in physics from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and currently work as an optical engineer while pursuing my MBA.
My tutoring style is motivational and focuses on building up the student’s confidence in not only understanding the material, but also being able to complete the problems on their own. During tutoring, I works with my students to not only solve for the immediate answers and passing their tests but to also comprehend the bigger picture of how learning benefits them. “When students get excited about getting into a good school or getting their dream job, they put a great deal of effort which inevitably improves their scores,”
Throughout my life, I've always been interested in science and math, as well as a keen interest in learning about cosmology. When I was younger, I was part of an astronomy club and organized events to use telescopes and observe the sky. What was a hobby, blossomed when I worked on a solar physics research project at NASA. I grew up in Tunisia and came to the US alone when I was 19 years old. Now I am a proud citizen of the United States not only enjoying the opportunities I had and currently pursues, but also opening up and encouraging the pursuit of those opportunities for those I tutor.
