Build a navigation app from google maps api

Scope of Work - Work will be performed in phases unless developer recommends differently

Summary: Create a navigation app that gives users the opportunity to enter in directions for s trip (point a to b), but also set their own average speed (mph/kph). The app will then track the actual travel time and speed. Once the user’s trip is over it will give them a summary of their trip: average speed, highest speed, lowest speed, travel time, and distance. All trips will be stored for each user and they will be able to access/analyze this data to better understand their traveling habits.

The other side of the project is that all travel data while the app is open will be tracked and stored for analysis. This will be used to analyse users are driving on each individual highway: included average speed, highest speed, lowest speed, travel time, and distance. This part of the app will be an actual website that will be an interactive map where users can hover/click on highways and see all of this information.

-Users will have a unique ID

-Most Important: the map and navigation will be based off of the google maps api and should function very similar/speed and google maps

-Waze App has an open API that can be used? This is open for discussion?

Voyaj Phase 1:

-Navigation based off of the Google Maps API

-Simple, but effective and fast navigation app that gives clear directions to get users from Point A to Point B

-When users enter their directions they have the option to enter their average speed mph or kph

-When the trip is over the app gives the user a summary of their actual trip: Miles Driven, Average Speed, Highest Speed, Lowest Speed, Time traveled.

-All of the data on each highway by user will be tracked and stored for further analysis in future phases
