I'm looking for an illustrator to work with for my first children's books series targeted at 3-6 years old. It will be mainly two characters, two ginger kittens (one short and one long hair kitten). The colours will be orange hues with a stripe pattern. The style must be simple, minimalistic and cartoony with no background. Sometimes props and a third character will be in the scene. Each page will contain at least one character, but mostly, it will have both kitten characters. The kittens will go on adventures together. One different adventure per book. An excellent example of the minimalistic style I'm looking for is the Elephant and Piggie books by Mo Willems. The books will be approx. 40 pages. I'm looking for an illustrator to work with throughout this series. Since I am also a new author, I'm open to working with a new illustrator who is just starting.
