I’m thinking a full-text search will be good to deal with querying the products by name and speedily. Specifically full-text search that works with partial words. Alternatively you could have a “Tags” table and do a normal index on "tags" More thoughts: Create a table that is a cache of the most recently bought products (this might be most likely what they want to buy) Questions I’d have before deciding what to do: How many users used this product concurrently on average? Also, how about not doing a query until after they’ve typed at least 3 letters (or a full word—full word recognized by a space)? That would reduce strain on the system and really, can you predict what they want with only 2 letters? ● Serving a global user base with low latency *You could duplicate the database and application in many different places. Not sure if Google Cloud offers this (I do know they offer CDN but that is more for media content) ● What are some ways they could generate the autocomplete data? *Like I mentioned, having a table which caches most search items before…this will be a shorter table than the one holding millions of objects. ● What types of systems could be used to store and serve the autocomplete data? *Postgresql’s full text search is touted a lot. MySQL may have caught up though…need to do more research. Search services that search text are an option (like elastic search) but this may be going overboard I think. *Angular is a great framework and good autocomplete

Dear Project Provider, I have understood your requirement for your 2 projects GCP architecture requirements. I strongly believe I have the skills necessary to provide my expertise for the same. On regards for "Auto-Complete" project, wish to know the maximum latency period in milli-seconds. As you must aware, considering X million records, we would suggest for No-SQL Database, to reduce the searching time, and thus the latency. Hope, we could discuss further. On regards for "Data Analysis" project, 15 TB of data per day is really huge. However, in No-SQL DB, the processing the data depends upon the business metrics requirement. Hence, the clarification on the required business metrics will through a better picture. Additionally, a one-time saving of 15 TB / day shall be taken into account. I am glad to discuss further.
