Small console application in ASp.NEt to parse XML files

I need to do a small assignment that will parse XML files with numbers, put them in an Acess or some other local storage and then show them as result to the screen - it can be console or web page. The program will need to be running every minute or so to check for new files. ## Deliverables * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Saturday Jul 2, 2011 10:37:42 PM: The project will show a list of user ID's that are currently on line in the system. 1. We will have 2 file directories - one of them called New and the other Processed. The new directory will have XML files in them - each will have these attributes: Presence Type: 'd' for delta - the list of users who logged off or logged on since last check/query 'f' for full, meaning a list of all users who are currently logged on - list of online users off - list of offline users u - userid We need to consider how we get full lists when we get the flag 'f' and changes if we get 'd'. We need to sync the records to ensure that we remove those that logged offand insert that ones that logged in. Issues to think about - how do we make sure we dont miss an XML file - we need to loop the directory maybe by time stamp of the file and make sure we get the XML files in the right order. When we finish with a file, we will pass it to the Processed directory. I think we can do that as a simple console application, with Acees DB to keep the current list of userID's that are online, so it will all run locally in same folder. We will need some kind of a daemon or service in windows to continuw monitor the directory for real time changes
