Hi there, I really like your book idea about the kid building a home for the mouse and assuming that you are looking for real, handcrafted illustrations (not computer generated art) I would like to express my interest to learn more about the story and hopefully negotiate a cooperation. I'm a traditionally trained artist, working as an old-school children's books illustrator for many years. Several samples of my work are available in the portfolio section here and more recent ones are also available upon request. I'm comfortable with all traditional media (although for your book I would recommend small gouache/watercolour paintings) and I deliver high resolution scans as a final result. In the process of work I first develop a storyboard and design the characters, then draft pencil sketches and after all of the initial work is approved (unlimited revisions are possible), I proceed with colouring/painting/inking. Please note that my quote would cover for entire illustrations work, including the preparatory work (storyboard and characters design), 18 small to one page colour illustrations and front and cover art.
