Windows Server admin needed for multiple projects First project needs an SSL wildcard certificate installed and tested for the domain and 2 sub domains. . Really easy project. 2nd task is to check a link which is only www and use the rewrite module to change to accept the https:// before the www so that the link wirks with the newly installed SSL cert. WARNING! READ CAREFULLY THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BELOW AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. Failure to follow simple instructions will lead to us reporting you to Freelancer. We hate auto-bidders and anyone who uses copy/paste without reading the project description. A detailed proposal is expected. If all you do is provide a one line proposal " I can do this for you", you will look unprofessional and you won't be hired. READ THIS CAREFULLY: Some basic but important rules. If you don't follow these rules we will report you and you account may be terminated. No excuses if you tell us, "oh i forgot" 1. Start your bid with "instructions read" . Failure to do so and we will know you are an auto bidder and you don't know how to follow simple instructions. 2. Blank bids to be deleted. 3. Don't ask us later how much we want to pay, your bid is not a placeholder. We will stop communicating with you if this happens. 4. Any bid over a budget of $18 USD/hour will be deleted. 5. We need someone who knows windows servers to do something really simple for us. Just the SSL certificate we recently purchased and set up the bindings. Once this is complete, we will test the site and make sure customers can make a purchase. Its its working you get paid. So you need to know and understand SSL certificates and HTTPS. 6. Provide an estimate and quote for these tasks listed above.

instructions read. The best thing about SSL is it’s simple to set up, and once it’s done all you have to do is route people to use HTTPS instead of HTTP. If you try to access your site by putting https:// in front of your URLs, you’ll get an error. Setting up HTTPS on your website is very easy. There only need something that proves your website is your website – kind of like an ID Card for your site. This is accomplished by creating an SSL certificate. A certificate is simply a paragraph of letters and numbers that only your site knows, like a really long password. When people visit your site via HTTPS that password is checked, and if it matches, it automatically verifies that your website and it encrypts everything flowing to and from it. To activate the certificate need to to generate a CSR. It’s easiest to do this within your web hosting control panel – such as WHM or cPanel. And need to go to the SSL/TLS admin area and choose to “Generate an SSL certificate and Signing Request”. if you want to ensure that people can only use specific pages securely no matter what links they use, it’s best to use a server-side approach to redirect the user if it’s not HTTPS. I did it with a code snippet inserted on top of my secure page like:- if ($_SERVER['HTTPS'] != "on") { $url = "https://". $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] . $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; header("Location: $url"); exit; } Another server-side approach is to use mod-rewrite Ping me for discussion.

I propose to use IIS in Windows Server as a Web Server for your site. I am an expert at deploying websites in Windows Server IIS and did it so many times. We will use only https:// protocol. We can rewrite also those who access with http:// so we can force the https:// and automatically route user to secured sockets.
