Looking for someone who can help us design a logo and menu for a new poke/seafood focused concept. Have met with several local branding firms, but haven't seemed to be able to connect creatively so now pursuing a freelance route. Our restaurant focuses on raw seafood and this is the first venture for the partners as owner-operators. We're all younger and want to have a more unique feel than prevailing restaurant design trends. We're aware of the cost of professional work and have budgeted for proper compensation. For some background to explain where we're coming from creatively: jellyfish photography has been a big inspiration to us creatively when we think of the artistic/conceptual design of the restaurant. I like the bold color contrasts and almost psychedelic feel of the jellyfish shape combined with the background. I think these types of color contrasts, the jellyfish motif, and a matte look would be great for the look of the menu. The name of the restaurant is Wikiwiki Poke. Wikiwiki means "speedy" in hawaiian, but mostly we love how it also sounds like the alliterative sound people make to describe the sounds of turntables scratching in rap music. I want a logo that conveys whimsy yet also looks nice and tight. It is necessary that the logo looks good and unique on packaging (think sauce bottles, take out containers, etc). It will need to look good in different substrates as well to ensure we can put it in vinyl on the restaurant windows, if we have an exterior sign, etc. I have uploaded some pictures of the jellyfish photography that we have found inspiring, as well as some other various logos and such that I enjoy for different reasons.
