We'll build two back-end, one for the authentication, and one for the game server. The authentication server is a REST api which will provide the tokens for access on the game servers. We can use mysql or mongodb as the database for this one. The game server is a websocket server, I recommend we use sockjs or ws. We will use redis publish subscribe for the game server so we can scale it horizontally. For the front-end we'll use canvas for the game objects. Javascript for the game mechanics and animations. All algorithms/calculations will be done on the game server such as collision detection to prevent cheating in the game. We can deploy it on AWS on a region you prefer. I can set this up all for you including the domain setup but will be at your cost. I can provide you an initial UI but you may suggest your own. I am also thinking we should put a Watch feature where users can just watch and explore the game.
