Software Security Project: WB-SETS (Secure web-based e-commerce transaction site)

Basic Project Discription: Design and implement a secure web based E-commerce transaction site with database interaction. What I want: Using an HLL(Java) we will build a secure web-based e-commerce transaction site, named WB-SETS. For data persistence, the site will interact with a DBMS, MySQL. We will use 2-tier architecture, client-server, for designing our site. We will use an agile (XP) model for our SDLC. Initially, our site will be limited to some specific types of products/ or items, but its quality attributes will ,definitely, allow it to expand easily. The product of this project will be a secure web-based site wherein “E-commercer” will do their transactions securely, with peace of mind, knowing that their privacy, their transactions confidentiality and integrity are guaranteed. Soon after our proposal being approved, we will launch our project by tasking our resources to start planning and designing the site; the project will be completed by 11/06/2020 and will be ready for deployment on the set date. This Project has 3 components: 1. Database using MySQL 2. Java code and files intergrating with the data in the Database 3. A Website which uses the code from the database and java files to be displayed on the website which updates the info on the database as a user buys an item. Other Important Info: The website has to use the security feature of a secure transaction such as Paypal, ect.
