Build a Thin Custom Linux OS

We have some atom thin clients that we would like to use specifically to RDP (Remote Desktop) into VM's. We would like to make a custom Linux OS that will simply establish a wireless or wired connection and we can configure the remote connection (local connection) one time, (in a GUI) meaning just point the RDP to the IP address. After the initial set up the thin client will automatically launch the RDP session going forward. **there also needs to be a way to change the settings of the RDP configuration if the IP changes.
