Hello, From what I can tell you need to think differently, the DB must be on a separate server to run smoothly as if you run both on the same server, then the I/O and CPU will be an issue; if I were you I will put MySQL Percona on one server like 16GB ram with a standard processor, and a good SSH, and one server for Magento you will be using Nginx and PHP.
