I'm a CCIE (R&S) certified network engineer with 6+ years of experience in configuring, securing and maintaining complex networks for large enterprises. My most recent project is a network comprising of over 2000 routers along with 1 main data center and 1 disaster recovery site. During the course of my work and studies I often deal with packet captures. Here are my thoughts about your project: The easy part of your project is to encrypt a file so that its size increases. The part that is difficult is how do to this on the fly? How and why will the listener/destination even accept the encrypted file? There should be some program that is listening for that encrypted file otherwise the destination will simply not understand that encrypted traffic and discard it.
