I possess practical experience plus a solid understanding of MikroTik products (hardware & software), their application, management, administration & troubleshooting that spans close to 9 years now. That said, I'd very much like to clear up a few ambiguous details in your description. These include but are not limited to: Offices: a) Are these Local and/or Remote? b) How did you plan on extending the wireless coverage? i.e Access points or is the intended hotspot coverage zone negligible and thus, no additional range extending required? WISP: a) Other than WAN(Internet), are there any other resources the hotspot users will need to access on the network? Printing etc. b) Other than blocking updates (which I presume is to decongest network from unnecessary traffic), is there any general traffic/service prioritization and/or rate limiting required? c) Is the Mikrotik Routerboard the intended authentication server i.e RADIUS? d) How did you plan on managing the hotspot? Via the routerboard's basic feature or the web User Manager utility? e) Is the hotspot just for office staff and/or walk in clients/visitors? f) If answer for e.) is both, what security implications & recommendations did you have in mind as far as network access & restrictions go?
