Update and Additional functions to site

We are looking for a company to update our existing website at www.military-genealogy.com. PLEASE READ THIS: Please provide examples of similar dynamic sites you have done preference will be given to companies that have done pay per view sites in the past. Payment will be made in milestone payments. 1/4 up front, 1/4 on working prototype, remaining 1/2 on sucessfull launch. While the budget is set at $1500 it is not in stone and we will go with the best company for the job and not the cheapest as this is a commercial site generating revenue and it needs to be expertly programmed. Please detail out how you will go about updating the site and what technologies you will use. About the site: The current site was built 5 or 6 years ago and is predominantly programmed in PHP attached to a MySQL database. It is a pay per view website using WorldPay as the payment provider and people can search for military records from the main World Wars and view them. They can also download certain records which are stored as PDF files in some of the databases. The site works on a credits basis currently where people pay for a minimum of 10 credits (£5 spend) and then use the credits to view records on the site or download PDFs. What we want done: 1. The site is very old looking and we would like it brought up to date with modern technologies like AJAX being used to display the data and perform searched. 2. There are 5 new databases to be added to the site along with the ones already there and these need to be integrated so they use credits in the same way as currently happens. 3. We want to add a new subscription method of payment to the site also. People will have the option to buy access to the site for a period of time (7 days, 30 days 90 days etc..) as well as using the current pay per click method. 4. The current admin section has a lot of reporting built in and the new databases added will have to be incorporated into this. 5. There is a related reading section which recommends books to people that are viewing records. This currently is a bit flakey and needs looking at again. It will basically send people to a sister site to buy a book related to the record they have just viewed. A simple database lookup really. About the design: We will be able to guide you on the new look and feel we want for the site as we have an in house designer that will be able to provide a mockup in Photoshop to work from. We would still like the look and functionality of that type of site.
