Ruby On Rails Website Development.

We are an established logistics company looking for a full-time Senior Back-end Developer to join our remote team. We build and maintain a complex application that our customers, service representatives, and on-site employees use every day. We use automated testing and deployment and have a continuous improvement approach. You'll be responsible for supporting operations and less senior members of the development team, as well as developing new app features and helping to maintain a complex and continuously evolving infrastructure. You'll need to: - Have at least 4 years recent experience building or maintaining an application using RoR or similar language - Have excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues - Have the ability to read and understand complex chunks of existing code - Be able to document code and procedures when necessary - Be fluent in English - Be available for at least 4 hours per day between 9am - 4pm EST Monday through Friday Required skills & experience: - Rspec or similar testing - SQL/Postgresql - Git/GitHub - Google Cloud Computing (Or similar services such as AWS or Azure) - Familiar with Javascript - Familiar with command line - Works well with a team of both developers & internal users Nice to haves: - React - GraphQL - Docker - Kubernetes - Swift - Objective C - Linux - APIs (both internal & external) - RESTful applications - New Relic
