Google Chrome Extension

I need a proof of concept developed to showcase the process and technology related to a patent that has recently been issued. I can provide full functional specifications, access to test systems etc. but below is an overview of the project, which is very straightforward. I need a Chrome Extension built that does two primary things: 1. Searches web page source to pull and temporarily store some values that are used in #2 below 2. Search a second web page for the values found in #1. When the extension finds a match in the source , it would insert an icon in the DOM that would display the text string upon mouse over. The concept is very similar to the Skype browser plugin that looks for phone numbers in web pages, and if found, inserts the Skype logo and allows the user to dial the number. In this case the icon would display text string upon mouse over.
