I need a web service to run on a Windows 2019 server running IIS to do the following: Accept a request from a fixed web site that will supply a Customer ID value. Take that value and extract data from a SQL DB and return the data in an XML format. The service currently exists, but no code is available. Client wishes to update the service and install it on a new 2019 server

Hello I can definitely extract the original source code, update or develop and then deploy the web services. I have done all those parts many times in my career, having worked on things like web services and APIs, XML formatting and ASP.Net/T-SQL combination several times.
