Summary of requirements: - I am building an analog computer which should be capable of solving a car spring mass damper. (DONE) - Matlab simscape + LTSPICE model to be completed correctly (for a car-mass-spring-damper equation). Needs to be for a car and the damping output should be realistic and backed up using literature - all values used should HAVE BEEN justified (DONE) - Simscape & LTSPICE model should be done based on a simulink (electrical model should translate the mechanical values into electrical values such resistance, capacitance etc) (DONE) - Explanations of how the values were arrived at the values and how we converted those to electrical values to be used in the simscape model - providing full explanation of the final electrical circuit built in matlab (at each stage) - providing a final list of equipment based on the final electrical circuit (we need this list so we can assemble an analog PC that solves the car sprinf mass damper equation) (DONE) RIGHT NOW we are at the final stage of the project - we need someone to expand the results - someone who can simulate more cases of the car spring mass damper Need to have 3 in total: - underdamped - critical damed and - overdamped cases Once thats done we need to complete the final documentation (reporting) (required layout and structure will be given)

Hello, I'm an F1 engineer, currently fighting boredom at home. I deal with mechanical systems and more in general simulations in my everyday job. It would be therefore straight forwards for me to provide you with simulations at different levels of damping. Just for my understanding, you do have a mechanical model of a car (modelled as a mass suspended by a spring+damper), and its electrical analogy already implemented. Is this correct? What is not clear for me, and I'd appreciate your feedback, is: - Are you trying to model a specific car make/model, or are you using average ballpark figures for mass, spring rates and damping? - What are the inputs and outputs to the analog computer? Is it just an academic exercise, where you impose certain inputs in force (volts) and integrates for the displacements? Or is it for a live application, where you measure accelerations within a vehicle and want to integrate the displacements and back calculate the input forces? - I suppose your aim is to compare the simulated outputs to the readings with your analog computer?
