Bug fixing for a flashcard and quiz app [Android]

Background I have been using a flashcard app for around 10 years with extensive flashcards created during that period. Unfortunately, the developer ceased its business around 2016 and the app became obsolete as time goes by. In recent years, the function I used to import the flashcards via Google Spreadsheet also became invalid after the update of the Google site. Project Brief The aim of this project is to revive the essential function of the app with minimum time and cost while removing the unnecessary features that are no longer functional. To facilitate the bidder to understand the project in concern, I can provide the available source code in hand, apk file, and the official templates from the developer. The bidder should study the materials carefully to ensure they are capable of the work and the quoted price is realistic. Remark: The apk works but becomes useless as the data import for flash cards malfunctioned since the google update. The code extracted was from the apk file and readable. Service required I need the existing WebView-based flashcard app that I am using. The service that I need is to revive my flashcard app either by fixing the bug or re-program with brand new source code to suit the prevailing android platform e.g. Android Version 8 to 12. Adjustment of the code should also be required to suit my requirements as below. The completed code shall be compatible with Android Version 9 (Samsung Note 8) to Android SDK Version 12 (Android Studio 2021) before the final payment. SQLite database update The app was designed to import the flashcard data from GoogleDoc spreadsheet to a local SQLite database file where I cannot locate it from the folder manager. To avoid any problem in any future maintenance of the database, I require the database file to be located in the normal device memory folder e.g. /internal storage/QACards or [login to view URL] instead. The code shall be capable to access the new database accordingly. As I cannot retrieve the database file from my existing devices, please see how it works by reading the code. Installation folder of the app For the reason unknown, I also cannot locate the installed app in the data folder of the devices. Similar to the database, I need the updated app to be installed in the [login to view URL] instead of somewhere I cannot locate/access. Advertisement function / Play Store (to be abandoned / removed) The app originally come with some ad function from amazon or google which has become obsolete for a long time due to updates of technology or system settings. Time should not be wasted on updating those functions as I just want to run the app on my devices with apk files instead of distributing them through the Store. Download flashcards function (to be abandoned/removed) The app was designed with a series of features to download flashcards from several third-party websites. However, those features shall be removed as I have already developed my own set of flashcards and intend to use my SQLite database file in the future as above mentioned. If you can fix the google spreadsheet import issue, please retain that portion. Bid Period The bidder must take time for reading the files to familiarize with the project before sending quotation Payments Payment shall be arranged in stages: 1. 30% upfront deposit 2. 50% for delivery of completed code (Video recording of the app operation shall be provided before applying for the 50% payment) 3.
