Post production demo by top end producer - plus mix & master

'Feel Good - Good Time Blues' © johnny albert ('Bluebeard') 2023 Bluesy/Rock session demo: some post-production needed: Customize Gtr EQ/FX, MIX & MASTER Hi there, Thank you for your interest. I'm looking for top end Bluesy/Rock expertise - a post production demo specialist to modify the gtr tone, tighten up, mix and master the track. On occasion when a little extra *production is needed, your opinion will be greatly valued. Please : You must be a genuine, mature, experienced Bluesy/Rock expert - with access to top quality pro gear. Read on... PROJECT *Some Additional Production req., This project is a 110 bpm bluesy-rock SINGLE in 'E' (3mins 48secs) - initially 72 bars of 4:4 - slowing to 70 bpm of 12:8 for the last 14 bars. I'll send you a basic reference session mix copy. Please address getting the lead vocal to sit right in there, up front and not sounding like an afterthought - (usually my speciality) - so making room for the lead vocal to sit well amongst the backing vocals ('bvs') etc., with a bit more 'edge' and 'cut' would be great. I'm using ProTools generally and iZotope *Nectar3 with voice doubler for vocals, which I would like to keep along with Auto Tune. For your bid, in addition to the Mixing & Mastering - please allow for the harmonies (*via Nectar3), adding MIDI notes in addition to the 'up' or 'down' interval options, creating a broader more musical harmony and also a harmonized female-sounding backing-vocal ('bv'). This project needs up front vocals and a prominent heavyish lead guitar please, to replace/edit the guitar voices I'm using already. (*Lead gtr EQ/FX; think Billy Gibbons, Black Stone Cherry, Clutch, Dirty Honey) - then for the last 14 bars, an unused one of these guitar voices - in obvious contrast to the first part (first 72 bars). Please clean and tighten it all up where needed, timing, pitch etc., beef up and maybe augment the drums and bass (*please suggest also anything that in your view will improve commercially the end result?) Drums in the basic session mix here, are the pre-set PT 'Blues' format - which sound a bit pedantic, understated maybe. I understand of course that Blues based stuff is by design a bit old school but with the current upsurge in Blues interest I'm sure you'll be far more aware than I regarding a more commercial sounding approach? Please apply. Same with the bass line - a stronger bass line might well be needed. Maybe add some secondary 'serial' compression to the vocals for grit, power and punch - a bit more aggression maybe, before addressing the spatial elements? Overall - medium heavy please. I would ask also please that you run all vocals through the Auto Tune (for +/- precise pitch only, not T Pain/Cher type FX). Please submit your bid for this project and your own track record along with any suggestions you feel might strengthen the commercial appeal? If you feel strongly that this is definitely your kind of thing, I very much look forward to hearing from you. *Lead gtr tone references:- any of the following tracks could serve as an approximate reference mix track - doesn't have to mirror the mix exactly for this project, just needs that flavour. Black Stone Cherry - 'Lonely Train' / 'White Trash Millionaire' / 'Hell & Hi Water'. Dirty Honey - 'Won't Take Me Alive' - 'California Dreamin' ' Billy Gibbons - 'I Got The Message' (from 'Afterburner') NB: I'm not looking to emulate any of these tracks beyond 'partially' - (from a mix point of view) - these are a substitute for a good reference mix which I lack the expertise or gear to provide. All can be heard on YouTube. General notes: VOCALS: Layered: Main + Wide Layers (L&R) + Harmony Layers (L&R) - obvious I guess, just being cautious (I have a low panic threshold). Maximum EQ/FX please - this has got to be as marketable as possible. I'm using the Izotope Voice Doubler which works well for me, I'd like to keep this. For the bv's, as you will know Izotope has a good 'automatic' harmonizing system. GUITARS: I'm looking to modify what I've done so far to create a heavier feel. I think 'heavier' would benefit the first part (72 bars) - then using another of the 'reference' tones for the slower (70 bpm) remaining 14 bars (to create a more obviously defined solid blues feel - continuing to fade). ADMIN: Your verifiable track record please. (Sounds a bit rude I know, sorry, but comes from previous very disappointing experiences). A few bars (vox + gtr + harmony + bvs) of your end product please, for occasional review to confirm we are going in the right direction as we progress. 'Freelancer's' payment protocol acknowledgement. (No payment before satisfactory completion). COST: Whilst cost is of couse very important, hopeully I'll be sending this to a few applicants, but please bear in mind, to me, quality trumps price. Please bid/price for a few tweaks if required. LEAD TIME: I'll get back to you (yes or no) once I have all the quotes - shouldn't be too long. I very much hope that my requirements here appeal and don't dissuade - a detailed specification fom me now will save time and no spec is impossible, especially for an expert in this field. MIX-&-MASTER I'll submit the basic session mix to demonstrate the structure, plus my approach and to track the instruments I'm using, all of which I'll need to hear in the finished mix please. I'll send also the stems for you to manipulate as you feel best suits the project.
