Desktop [Trademark name masked] application

We need a desktop software application, which will work like [Trademark name masked] site. An ordinary site like [Trademark name masked] has a DB and for example PHP engine that forms an interface. We also need a server DB (MySQL) but instead of PHP, we need a desktop application that will receive data from MySQL and form an interface. To get feeling of this concept and what we need, please see how it was made for music site: there’s a large music DB at [login to view URL] You can search for music over explorer, but you can also download this small application at [login to view URL], which uses the same DB, and searches for music without explorer. And that is much easier and comfortable than over browser. So, we need such a desktop program, which will help searching not music, but products and e-shops, which sell them, compare prices and so on, exactly like [Trademark name masked] does. This software will download the whole product base with full text descriptions from server at startup. Then during the work it will automatically download the needed pictures, price information and availability at stocks of different e-shops. This software doesn’t have a crawler inside. All the information will be imported to server DB from price-lists, xml files or similar. Interface and design of the application should be very similar to alltunes, and functionality should copy [Trademark name masked]. Initially for testing period the product base will contain 30.000 product items. And we plan to have over a 1.000.000 in future. We‘re looking for a team, that has experience in online shops building and also offline programming.
