Hi Bob, Based on clarity received from our discussion, we understand the requirement as follows: A C/C++ based application needs to be developed with the following features: 1. It must expose PKCS #11 compliant API to client applications installing the .dll or .so file (this ensures decoupled clients and adhering to standard interface) for cryptographic tokens. 2. It must act as a KMIP Client communicating with KMIP Server over HTTPS protocol (and using different message formats) and must send KMIP standard messages such as (Create, Get, Register, Add attributes, etc ...) and also must be able to receive messages from KMIP Server over HTTPS protocol. (x509 certificates generated by CAs can be installed but self signed certificates can be used for development purposes) 3. It must act as an adapter (adapter design pattern) between PKCS #11 standard and KMIP standard. 4. It must have build system (such as scripts) to easily build and generate .dll files and .so files based on platform so that it is distributable 5. It must have clean code (we have planned to achieve this using Test Driven Development with nearly perfect test coverage). 6. It must follow high security standards (planned to incorporate security vulnerability testing tools to achieve this).
