Using OpenGL, create a game-like GUI with a unique artistic aesthetic

[login to view URL] > The Amanuensis is an automated songwriting and recording system aimed at ridding the process of anything left-brained, so one need never leave a creative, spontaneous and improvisational state of mind, from the inception of the song until its final master. The program will construct a cohesive song structure, using the best of what you give it, looping around you and growing in real-time as you play. All you have to do is jam and fully written songs will flow out behind you wherever you go. There has been much deliberation, but the consensus seems to be to create this game interface as a separate app, which will receive communication from the main program via OSC. This will allow for flexibility in choosing which framework/language to write it in, as well as provide a path for eventually building it into a full standalone video game. It’s possible the best framework for the job would be Cinder, but openFrameworks, Nannou, JUCE or any other would also be options. The possibility of doing it natively in Jitter also still exists.
