Advertising Campaign Spreadsheeet

I know very little about building and/or using an Excel Spreadsheet, but I think this project should be pretty straightforward for someone with an expertise in this area. Because I am unfamiliar with all the capabilities of a spreadsheet, I will explain what I would like to manage and you can let me know the best way to get it done. What we need is a tracking system to gauge and track the effectiveness of various advertising campaigns for a local law firm. We provide a free initial consultation for potential clients and we need to know and track the following information: Date Potential Client Name Source of Lead: Radio – Rock, Talk, or Country Internet TV Referral Other Immediate Result of Consultation: Signed as New Client or Not Signed as New Client Long-Term Result of Consultation: Signed as New Client or Not Signed as New Client From this data, we would like to ascertain the following information over any date range that we could specify (week, monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc.) How many consultations resulted from each "Source." How many clients signed immediately from each "Source." How many clients signed after-the-fact (long-term) from each "Source." From each "Source" the percentage of signed clients per consultation. For bidding purposes, consider these parameters to be everything we will need. I say this because we will probably learn that we need more data/information and any additional changes/updates/enhancements we need or you can recommend would be paid in addition to the base bid. Your bid should also include the cost of proving us with simple instructions for using the spreadsheet as well as making simple adjustments to it such as adding/changing Lead Sources as our advertising campaigns change. I hope I have provided enough information to give you an idea of what we are after. Essentially, we just want to be able to better quantify and analyze the effectiveness of varying ad campaigns.
