Deliver a Visual Studio Language Server Extension for a proprietary programming language. This type of extension is described here: [login to view URL] This language has multiple languages embedded: - XML for top level language - One of the tags can contain HTML - another XML tag contains the proprietary programming language (in a CDATA tag) - inside the proprietary language there are two other embedded languages: - inside square brackets [] we can use ANSI SQL (or MS SQL or Oracle SQL) - inside double square brackets [[]] we can use Groovy The proprietary language has - a limited set of reserved words - concatenating symbols - a library of functions and arguments that can be accesses with a proprietary connection in VSCode (to be provided). Alternatively, we could load a static list/file of existing functions with arguments. Attached is a sample file containing a function of this proprietary code. The language server extension should do the following for the proprietary language itself: - perform syntax highlighting - code completion - finish function name - suggest function arguments - syntax checking (show errors) - 'go to definition' of functions in proprietary language Also, we would like the language server to use existing language servers for the known languages (XML, HTML, SQL, Groovy). Is there a good language server for SQL? We are looking for someone with proven experience for an extension like this and especially the embedded languages inside other languages. We will provide more details if you have matching qualifications. You can do this at your own time schedule but we expect a working version to be completed in the coming month.
