Hello, I have extensive experience editing both professionally (I edit a long newsletter at my 9-5 job) and casually (having edited thousands of Wikipedia articles, many of which are officially recognized as among the top 0.1% of Wikipedia content). Typically, people pay $3-10 per manuscript page (defined as 250 words) to have their work subjected to "basic" copy editing. Thorough copy editing runs $10-20 per manuscript page. Since I find editing to be enjoyable, and am not depending on this site for income, I will offer $2/page for somewhere in between - I'll go over the text carefully, which should catch most errors and make it ready for publication, but won't subject it to extreme sentence-by-sentence scrutiny. Whether you go with my bid or not, be sure to select a native speaker (and not one from India - they speak very differently there) and be leery of low-ball offers (which likely do not understand the amount of work involved here - done well decently, we are talking about more than 100 hours of work). I've edited 3 books previously including "Personal Prophesy" by Steven Burns regarding correct protocol when delivering a prophetic message to individuals, "The Worms that Spoil the Fruit" by Joe Contaldi regarding spiritual corruption which can plague individuals and cause spiritual "fruit" (a person's character) to be tainted or lost, and "the Call and Technique of Witnessing" by Craig Freeman.
