General information for the business: Matlab codes for fabric defects detection and classifying Kind of development: New program from scratch Num. of modules: 2 Description of every module: ONE FOR DETECTION OTHER FOR CLASSIFICATION WITH GUI Description of requirements/functionality: doing a project on matlab automatic textile defects inspection textile defect detection (textile inspection system) for 7 types of defects with suitable image processing (image enhancement and feature extraction) and best classifier for detection and classifying the defects i would like to ask you about helping me in my project for the following tasks : -writing the entire code in matlab with functions - suggesting best algorithms -giving advice on the best way to implement the project [best signal processing for textile defected images and best classifier ] Specific technologies required: MATLAB OS requirements: Windows Extra notes: ONLY AND ONLY MATLAB ,NEED THE BEST CLASSIFIER!!! I HAVE DATA BASE FOR PICTURES due date after 2-4 weeks textile defect detection for at least 4 types of defects with image processing (detect the defect and feature extraction) and best classifier for classifying the defect type suggestion are gabor filter ,wavelet,statistical classifier :ann please tell me: give me more information about your point of view about my project and how you will do it is there any algorithms or ways in your mind ? have you programmed a similar project? are you sure 100% you can do a 100 % working on defect inspection? what types of defects you can detect? and how much time you need?

Hi; I am doing PhD in image processing and my area of focus is texture analysis. you can also seemy research publications at IEEE. Texture analysis is close to your work. texture Features, there are numerous that you can use, Gabor, wavelet, binary pattern,scale space, wavelet, morphological profiles. and so on I usually use MLR, or ANN as classifiers. but can look into other possibilities aswell. Hi, My Background: Manager, Designs. Image processing Expert. I've implemented many image processing algorithms in MATLAB, all from reputed journals (like IEEE). I've done recognition algorithms (face/iris/palm print etc.), motion detection algorithms (run/jump/walk, sign language detection etc.) and Image forgery algorithms. Please look at my profile for my complete work and my portfolio for a few sample images. A good point to start this project will be "Fabric Defect Detection in Handlooms Cottage Silk Industries using Image Processing Techniques - International Journal of Computer Applications". This is a decent algorithm and the results are pretty good. I'll be able to tell you about what kind of accuracy we can get after i see the database. If it's extensive then I "Do Not" expect a 100% recognition rate, anything above 90% should be excellent. If it's a smaller subset, i think we can manage above 95%. I'll also be able to tell you the classifier after i see the database. (For example, wavelets perform below par if the images are grainy and have lot of noise). i guess your data is unlabeled data so i suggest to use LSVM algorithm to do that and the efficiency using LSSVM to calculate the accuracy we need one data set, and devide them for tow sections training data and testing data this method gives best result while we use image and unlabeled data i did many project using FS feature selection so i am satisfy over 90%

I have mostly worked in all the feature extraction methods you mentioned and had delivered code on those lines. Methods include Gabor, HOG, Surf etc. My suggestion would be textile have a patterns within them. So detect the defects in uniformity of the pattern, statistical textures like GLCM, local multiple patterns LMP, local triple patterns LTP can spouse be used as an additional feature to improve the classification accuracy. For detection per se, I am comfortable with both SVM and ANN. Either a unsupervised based clustering for detection the defects followed by AI based type estimation can be also performed at the high level. Also, I 'll be able to deliver the project in a week time based on the pace in which you deliver the database images Please find below my expertise in image processing. I am an independent Image processing researcher with 8 years of industrial experience holding a Masters degree in core image processing area. Within IP, I expertise in object recognition, document image processing, Optical character recognition, content based image retrieval etc. I have been working in aforementioned areas in developing new algorithms, writing research journals etc. I also develop algorithm for satellite images i.e. remote sensing images such as image classification, image fusion etc. I have 8+ years of experience in MATLAB and I am a pro in Matlab and average in OpenCV. I have published international papers in the above mentioned areas by developing innovative algorithms. All the published works will be shared on request. I am a newbie to Freelancer and but have handful of experience in IP. I work on freelancer at my free times and hence the account will be very old with less feedback. hi, i have first degree in math and physics. now working on my master in electric engineering. my final project subject is image processing (HDR) i have a lot of experience in matlab i would first understand what are those kind of defects, and than will think about features. if you have l large database for training we could refine and optimize the detection and classification algorithm it might take a while because i m working and also have exams this month

I've published papers on texture classification, and I've also provided technology of tie pattern classification for a company. I'm familiar with Gabor and other texture features, as well as state-of-the-art classification algorithms.
