"onion" Hi, what you describe can be accomplished using Computer Vision and Photogrammetry. I wrote a 3Ds MAX plugin for a client that required automatic mesh building using photogrammetry using the AliceVision framework to great, accurate results. If the drone footage is limited to top-down view navigating in a virtual 2D plane then CV with a custom trained model is highly recommended to reconstruct and infer the roofs shapes and sizes. But if the footage is from a drone orbiting around, then photogrammetry could play a major role reconstructing the houses to great accurate detail. Software would include generation/reconstruction/processing of input footage and 3D viewer plus any extra features you may require.
