He could see the sun getting eaten so fast that he thought the world was caught up in a fast forward and he couldn’t believe his little trick stopped working. ‘Open Sesame! Open Sesame! Goddammit… Open Sesame!’ Nothing. All of a sudden he was left with nothing. He couldn’t understand why his power left him. He had it since he was five and worked without any failure for so long – until now. The memory of his first Opening jumps in his mind. He was tucked in his bed with his mother alongside him and she was reading him Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and from that moment the words were just stuck in his head forever. ‘Open Sesame!’ he said the next morning while playing in his fort and then the unthinkable happened – he opened a gate to his grandparents’ backyard. It ran in the family; it just took him longer to discover his talent. And now, when he needed it most, it was gone. The sun sank deeper into the ground and he knew this could be the end of him unless he found shelter soon. His horse was tired of running for so long but he had no choice.
