Hi, I'm Matt and would like to help you (23 a webmaster/IT developer, 11+ years a Wordpress developer). Please provide more information about your custom CMS. Do your news articles include only text (and any special regions on a page like summary, abstract, author, date, other "meta" fields) or images too? If images are required to reference, will they stay in the same URL or do you want to migrate images too? If you want the latter, then importing images (and other media) to WordPress will break existing URLs so redirection plugin (free) should be used at least for a month to not loose Google "love". This bid includes text content migrating (with entering article authors to WordPress users) with media files references stayed intact. For changing any URLs let's discuss first please since the bid would need to be changed. The idea is to to prepare your exported content for easy importing process using existing or slightly modified import code (script). Looking forward to your reply, Matt
