Project Description: We are embarking on the development of a web application designed to facilitate the creation, editing, and management of a two-level menu system alongside a versatile content area. The primary objective is to provide users with an intuitive and visually engaging platform for organizing information in a structured manner. This project will adhere closely to the design presented in the attached PDF file "[login to view URL]," serving as the primary visual reference for our development efforts. Menu System Features: Menu Hierarchy: Users have the capability to generate top-level menu items (referred to as main menu items) and associate submenus (referred to as sub-menu items) with them. The system will support a two-level deep hierarchy, allowing for the creation of main menu items along with their respective sub-menu items. Mouseover Effects: The user interface will incorporate mouseover effects to provide visual feedback when users hover over menu items, enhancing the overall user experience. Selection Highlight: The selected menu item and submenu will be visually highlighted, effectively indicating the user's current location within the menu structure. Create, Edit, and Delete: Users will be able to create, edit, and delete both main menu items and sub-menu items. This includes the ability to modify item names and hierarchy as required. Content Area Features: The content area, located on the right side of the page, is designed to display textual content in a structured and organized manner: Text Sections: Users can create text sections, each of which can be named according to their preference (e.g., "Introduction," "Headlines," or any custom title). Text Lines: Within each text section, users can add text lines, which will be automatically labeled as #A1, #A2, #B1, #B2, and so on. The labeling follows a logical sequence based on the section's letter. Editing: Users will have the ability to edit, modify, and format the content within text sections and individual text lines, offering flexibility in content management. Deletion: The application will enable users to delete entire text sections or individual text lines if they are no longer needed. Reordering: Users should be able to rearrange text sections and text lines within a section to achieve the desired content structure. User Management: This application does not require user authentication or user management. It is an open system accessible to all users without the need for user accounts. Data Storage: The application will store data in a structured manner within a JSON file. Each menu item, its associated content, and any modifications will be organized in the JSON file to ensure easy retrieval and rendering on the webpage. Project Implementation: The developer should meticulously adhere to the design principles outlined in "[login to view URL]" to ensure that the web application faithfully mirrors the intended user experience and visual aesthetics. Any elements or features that may not be feasible within standard UX/UI practices should be discussed with the project stakeholders to explore alternative solutions. Project Development Progress: It is essential to note that we already have a test version of the web application, which can serve as a starting point for further development and improvement.
