Hi, I can help you with that. I have experience with openwrt/dd-wrt, designing and building "small" neighbourhood WISPs, using stock and modified firmware. I have not used this model before, but after a quick search in the dd-wrt database - it seems to be well supported. Remote connection to a pc/laptop, connected to the router, should be fine, but I can walk you through the process as well (if you have security concerns allowing remote access).
