VPS Server Recovery: Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04

During a software upgrade operation, my VPS running Ubuntu 16.04 became unresponsive. I need a highly experienced system administrator with expertise in Ubuntu to restore it. Tasks include: - Diagnosing the issue that caused the unresponsiveness - Fixing the problem without data loss - Successfully completing the upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04 Skills and experience required: - Familiarity with common server errors - Proficiency in handling Ubuntu upgrades - Capability to recover crashed servers - Track record of preserving data during server recovery. The screenshot attached is the last response i got after executed: do-release-upgrade If the installation is impossible to save, I want to move some folders to a backup driver and then reinstall from OVH panel. If you can do this write ok at beggining of the offer and then tell me what you will do to fix this if you have a stackoverflow profile or some sysadmin profile could be helpful to validate expertise.
