And I have checked your sample image and I see what you mean by it lacking detail. It's kinda all jumbled together and at times hard even to make out that its a spaceship. I can help you out with this problem easily though as creating vector graphics is a passion of mine. We could add some turrets.. thrusters..lights..maybe even some wording on the side.. change the colors up and and all in all increase the detail in the who image and make the planet look more three-dimensional.
