Hi, I have developed many apps with webservices/server call as internal functionalities. Please be careful to choose your developer, as this task requires 1) Wise use of background threads so that app doesn't look slow 2) Caching is required if data is large 3) Error handling and retry the server call, if there is breakup in connection in middle of data recieving. My apps were based on SugarCRM, if you ever heard this name. This is a Customer Relationship Model, and I have extensive experience of SOAP and REST along-with XML and JSON parsing. Though, in these apps, I perform sync manually which is supported in offline mode only.
