Mobile: Target1: Develop IOS/Android application that: 1) receives remote video stream from distant cameras. 2) is capable of controlling electronic devices on the premises. (eg. Smart home automation systems ) Functions are very simple: turn on/off light and input text on the screen. Skills: IOS or Android Development, Video streaming experience, smart home automation systems. Backend: Target2: Organize video streaming server that will be able to stream video from 4 web cameras to at least 200 remote concurrent users without DELAY. We tried services like ustream and wowza and most of them do have delay from 5-15 seconds. The main goal is to avoid having this delay by connecting viewers directly to streaming server. Desired method: server ----> Viewer Not desired: server ---->ustream-----> Viewer Skills: Proxy server, Knowledge and experience in live video streaming.
