Database tuning/optimization expert needed

Hi; I can monitor and optimize the queries. Even better, I can write functions to intercept useless Wordpress queries, mostly caused by innards of Wordpress. WP needlessly query db for functions like get_bloginfo(), for example. My feeding these functions with constants, query count will get lower. Another downside is, joins. For example, Wordpress queries posts, term_taxonomy and taxonomy_relations tables by joins to get posts from a specific category, for example. It also offers inner caching for these queries, but disabled by default. Also, using transient API to cache some widgets for example, helps minimizing queries. Plugins are generally awful. I can optimize most of them, too. I'll split my bid into 3 milestones. If you cant see any improvement after first milestone, you dont need to pay any further, but I believe you'll be satisfied by the results. I'm looking forward to work with you.

Hello, working about 15 years with databases and I am used to even optimize large databases, I would like to have a view on the slow query log in advance if possible, because you mention, that it is usually fast but sometimes not, that can have several reasons: mysql config isnt optimized, high visitor peak and the server just isnt enough, something running in the background which usually dont run at those times etc... Hello. I have 10+ years of experience in Oracle DB developing (Large, heavily loaded industrial database. Hundreds of tables; millions or records...). Improving of performance is a part of my usual work. I have some experience of using MySql for personal purposes (Small database. Only thousands of records. Some indexes, constraints... Not interesting. I guess it would be fast even without indexes.). MySql database optimization is a very interesting experience for me.
