Network Scanning Component

We are in need of an ASP component that can request information from an activeX component installed on a users computer. How the process works: 1) User downloads / installs the component onto their machine via a webpage. 2) Server component will request a variable (e.g. computer name) 2) Client component transmits requested data. 5) Loop until all requested variables are received. 6) If server does not receive data within a specificed time (set within the ASP page) then error out. 7) Data collected is displayed to user via an asp page. The component that is loaded on the users machine will: 1) Transmit computer name 2) Transmit domain / workgroup 3) Transmit logged in username 4) transmit c:\ directory listing 6) Client must be seemless and easy to install / activate will little or no interaction from the client. server side component: 1) must be an asp component to work within iis 5.0 3) Must be able to handle hundreds of sessions 4) Information must be able to read from client component via an ASP script. ## Deliverables 1) Client package must be able to be installed via the browser. (signed with valid certificate) 2) Server component must be an object that an ASP page can control. 3) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 4) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 5) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Server component: Windows 2000 sp3 IIS 5.0 Intel based server Client: Any windows based PC Component must be able to be installed on IE (maybe Netscape as well.)
