Social Media Features on New Website

i had posted a project here about 2 days ago asking if someone could help create a simple way for my website visitors to make a profile page (with their name, photo, and hometown ... and then be able to share comments/photos on the page). they would obviously have to register with the site and receive an e-mail if they lost their password. basic stuff like that. nothing too crazy. two of the programmers offered to integrate a much more complex platform that had many of the same social media features as facebook. things like "friend requests" and the ability to e-mail other members. all of that sounded good. but they wanted too much money. can anyone else implement this stuff for me at a more reasonable price? the first one wanted $400. the second one wanted $275. both prices were way too high. please message me if interested and you can hammer this out today. thank you.
