Hi, I started bidding actively here recently, however I have been working with Joomla since 2008. I'm therefor skilled and qualified to handle your project. Lately I have handled a number of upgrades and migrations form other CMS to Joomla, some of them here on freelancer.com. You can check my reviews. In delivering theses projects I have fine-tuned a methodology to migrate successfully sites to Joomla 3.2. I always start with a clean fresh installation of Joomla 3.2 to which I had content in the following order: users, categories, articles and images/media, and then depending on the required extensions the extension specific content. Then I define the menus, modules to be published and the template. For your budget I would use the responsive protostar template that ships with Joomla 3.2 and tweak it. I'll redirect old URLs for SEO You don't give much details as per your current website (the URL would be useful for me to get an idea) the features, theme, volume of data and so on. That could be helpful. In any case if volume is reasonable (in the thousands of articles, not hundreds of thousands) the most efficient way to get everything right is to export data from your current CMS, reformat it to the proper format (I'm a data cleansing expert) and then import it into Joomla.
