SERVER ADMINISTRATOR Needed - Linux OS / Plesk Control Panel Installed - Just need to fix FEW of installed scripts on server

I have a tutoring website and everything worked just fine up until about July 13th or so. Around that time, 2 things happened thay may or may not affect the installed scripts from working correctly. Here are the 2 things that happened: 1. My hosting provider updated their security and I think it may have affected the scripts on my website. My server is just a basic / standard Linux OS with a Plesk control panel on top of it. My hosting provider is [login to view URL] and I have a "VPS" server -- this stands for "virtual private server." I called [login to view URL] and they said a 'server administrator' would be able to check the mail log files for errors -- this is located in the SSH under "var logs directory" -- I'm able to send / receive "regular email" without a problem, but my various installed scripts (I have only 3-5 scripts total) are not sending out automated emails that occur when certain events occur on my website, and also when a new tutor signs up via my 3rd party payment processor. More details on this, but it's pretty simple. 2. My payment processor (Fast Spring, inc.) has changed the location of it's "Notifications" in my admin area of the FastSpring site -- perhaps this is causing my script to not email new tutors a username/password when they sign up. ------------ Bottom link, my buddy used to fix this stuff for me and it would only take him a few hours to do at most -- I ONLY have about 3-5 scripts that aren't working. Should be able to ID where/what they are in my mail log errors and fix quickly. ----- When my buddy said he can no longer help me, I asked him to give me summary of a similar error I had about a year ago -- so next server admin guy (YOU) would have an idea if a new error ever came up -- like it is today. This is what he said: "For future reference the file I modified is httpdocs/tutors/fspring/config.inc.php. It is required by [login to view URL] (in the same directory) which is the callback to the WMT member script from Fastspring when a tutor joins."
