I think I can, I'm an autodidact software developer and pentester and I gained a lot of experience since I started, I have a lot of nice clients who thanks our services like pentesters (grampus team, have a look in our github). I colaborated with security linux distributions like bugtraq team or wifislax, both uses some of our softwares, etc.
