I am on cable at home. The cost of a static Ip address is out nuts. I need a perl script the reads an email from a specific address and posts its address on a web site via ftp.
for instance I send an email to an email address that has "gimme your ip" in the subject. the program reads that there is a new message, that the message is for it, gets its own ip address (set by dhcp from the cable company) and posts it to a formated page on my web site. (The perl script would have to log on to the site and drop a html page and log out. all this on a free bsd firewall. so I can log in to my terminal server and get what I want.
It must be command line addressable or configuration file addressable.
[file name] mail_server mail_box password
output file name is constant and ftp site is constant but changeable by re-compiling the source.
