DATA FIELD MERGE

I need a Visual Basic stand-alone utility that can also be incorporated as in integral feature option within an existing proprietary software project. It's purpose is to move selected names, addresses, telephone #s and other individual field data from one of four existing source database formats that would automatically be recognized as either Access, D-Base, Fox Pro, or delimited ascii format, to the appropriate matching field types within a proprietary database shell. These are the desired four database formats I would like to be able to automatically detect and deal with, but how many we decide to work with is somewhat negotiable. I envision this could work via a screen interface that would display the approximately 40 field names of our proprietary database on the left, along with all detected fields within a single record from within the source database on the right. The user would simply drag source field names (or data samples) from the right side to the appropriate matching data fields in the proprietary database shell on the left side of the screen. After all desired fields are dragged to their matching counterpart fields, the user could then choose to save this "Data Match Profile" for re-use without having to repeat the drag and drop procedure again. After saving the "Profile", then the user would execute the "Data Merge" "GO" button which would then create a new proprietary database (name and path chosen by the user) that contains only the selected data from all the source records in their correct field positions in the newly created database.
