Simple Excel macro. Open txt files, import data, etc

I need a program (VB macro) does the following. 1. Opens a window so I can select certain text files. 2. Once I select the text file, I get asked two questions. 2a. (1) Is this text file a "x" or "y" 2b. (2) Is this text file a 1,2,3,4 or 5 3. Copy the text file to an "input" worksheet in Excel. *the text file contains a lot of data, only 2 rows of it are of interest. 4. Multiply these two rows together (A1xB1, A2xB2, etc) and transpose the resulting data to a column. 5. This column of data will then be copied into a certain worksheet (1,2,3,4 or 5) into a certain range (x or y). Which is what you specified in the questions 2a and 2b. Basically I want something more automated. At the moment I am, opening the text file, select all, copy, go to the "input" worksheet, paste, operate a little macro to multiply the two rows together and transpose them into a column, copy this column, click on worksheet 1,2,3,4 or 5, paste the column into cell "x" or "y" If you successfully bid, I'll send you the Excel spread sheet, some sample text files and explain what all the 1's, 2's, x's and y's stand for.
