I would like to have a customized flash video interface built that is driven by xml so the content can be updated dynamically. Ideally we would like to have either an XML file or excell file that we update and the updated information would be reflected in the interface. The interface would consist of 2 menu sources. One would be placed on the left of the screen and the other on the right. They would pop out when the user rolls over either side. The menu would consist of thumbnails that would show quick animations when the user rolls over each image. The menu would magnify like MacOSX's dock does when rolled over. When the users mouse goes up the scroller the "dock needs to move to reveal the other videos" Upon the rollover of each thumbnail I need to have a seperate text field that is placed at the top or bottom of the page to be updated with information that it receives from the corresponding xml file. When the user clicks on a thumb, it will trigger the video to be played in the video box. I already have the design done. I'm currently creating the video clips. This will have videos that are updated every week so it needs to be dynamic. We would really like to have the videos to be able to be bookmarked. So if a user sees a video they like they can hyper-link to it and share it with a friend. It would be nice to be able to place a search field in to be able to search for a specific video by name or key word. My next step is to learn actionscript and XML so if there is someone out there that can save me the headaches, pleases let me know.
