Hi, Normally when a node.js MongoDB server crashes or delays, there might be several causes. #. Highly referenced schema design in mongoDB. #. REST api designed with invalid request. #. null or undefined aren't handled properly. I have worked on several projects where my duty was to improve the performance. One of those project was ongoing for two and a half years. and I improve the performance a lot on many api. Now about your api, what does the debug log says. It says something for sure. You can see it on pm2 log. Check when its restarted. and figure out the reason. because 1000 simultaneous connection isn't very high for node.js. Node.js can take a lot of load than many other server like php. So if you can give me access I can check it out and fix it or give you the reason to fix it. whatever works with you . Thanks Saif.

Do you have jmeter stress test ready to demonstrate the problem. Why are you using PHP to interface with MongoDB? PHP is slower than Node.js and are you sure that your PHP server is optimized to handle the scenario. There are several things that could go wrong here, 1) Slow PHP/Server backend is causing IO queue overrun in Node.js 2) A bug in your Node.js code 3) MongoDB lock issue Its a hectic task that requires profiling and good deal of infra. If you already have the infra and jmeter testcases it would be great. Also keep in mind that these kind of jobs are very unpredictable and I need an advance of $300 before I start the work. Its non-negotiable because profiling is always a very hectic job and unpredictable job, even if we find out a solution, its takes two stage process to arrive at a solution especially for a web server. 1) Roll-out a interim fix or fixes to solve the problem in production 2) Come up with refactoring strategy and may be change the code design for development This is why I need the advance because for us to arrive at a good solution we may have to spend a great deal of time and effort.

I'm assuming that you're going with a nosql approach due to the fact that a sql db system prob. slowed down your previous app. Mongo is good, but there are ways to scale with mysql, if that is the case. Anyhow, a node.js api and mongo db shouldn't take more than 10 days for me to get done.
