Dubai real estate data is public, but there does not seem to be an easy way to get a good dataset of all the buildings in the emirate of Dubai. There is a lot of information that we would like to know about every Dubai building, but in the first phase of this project we will focus in: - Name of the building (e.g. "Preatoni Tower JLT") - Use: (e.g. "Residential") - Type (villa, mall...) - Main area (e.g "JLT") - Subarea (e.g. "JLT Cluster L") - Coordinates (longitude and latitude) - Year of completion (e.g. "2018") - Makani code (unique identifier of buildings in Dubai) - Number of floors - Number of units (number of apartments) - Developer (company who built the building) This should be implemented in decent Python code, so it can be modified and rerun for updates. The final data should be of good quality (as good as the data in the used sources). The final goal is to join this dataset with the transactions (purchases of properties) which can be found here: [login to view URL] There are different sources that can be used, for example: - [login to view URL] - [login to view URL] - [login to view URL] (the webservices that the website use seem promising to obtain all the buildings)
